Storyline Media sought The Public Society’s assistance in developing the first chapter of a multi-part interactive documentary. They envisioned a mobile-first experience that emphasized the filmmakers’ content while allowing users to engage in the storytelling experience and shape their own narrative.

Sea Change presents intimate testimonies in a 360-degree experience, inviting users to forge their own path through the story and uncover connections between those affected by Hurricane Sandy. With UI elements and playful type treatments that reference a Coney Island aesthetic, the final product is an engaging and innovative piece of participatory storytelling that creates a unique viewing experience for each user.
